Abandoned House in Willard, WI
History: Single family home approximately 100 years old. The original owner (male) was shot on the property by a neighbor in a "hunting" accident. The death was investigated at the time as suspicious in the 1930's. A female renter died in the home from a "heart attack" two weeks after moving in, 1998.
Story: Mr. O.B.,was the original owner. I found history on his death and by chance happened to meet his daughter in the late 60's, who was a toddler at the time of his death. She remembered that there had been an investigation by the police on the property where they were digging up old animal graves behind the barn thinking they were human remains. She states the rumor is that her mother was having an affair with the neighbor man who ultimately had accidently shot Mr. B while hunting birds behind the barn.
Claims: The downstairs bedroom doorknob would frequently turn on its own. The upstairs lightbulb would often become loosened within a matter of minutes. The upstairs main bedroom and closet floor would vibrate and shake and the door would suddenly slam and not open for a brief time. The blinds on the window would raise up suddenly, 90 degrees and fall back just as rapidly. A cat who lived there at the time would hunch, look up the stairs and growl, then run across the stairway, while crossing the kitchen to the living room.
Story: I was sleeping in the large bedroom upstairs one night when the bed starting vibrating again. I said out loud, "just leave me alone Mr. B." Suddenly the blinds went up and down, my sheets suctioned around me and the door slammed shut. I sprang out of bed and was unable to open the bedroom door for a period of time. Eventually the door released and I ran downstairs and called a friend to calm down. I slept on the couch that night.
Story: In 1993, about three months after I moved in, I would be upstairs with the lights on, walk downstairs and the light in the hallway/bedroom would shut off. I would go back upstairs to discover the lightbulb in the fixture was loose and dangling. I screwed it back in securely and the light worked. When I walked back down the light again went off. When I went back up the light bulb was loose and dangling.
